Summer Stars

Last chance for a completely FREE summer camp run by UMass Boston for children entering second grade in the Fall of 2024

We have limited space (2-4 spots left) for families with children without behavioral or learning issues, and without autism spectrum disorder or intellectual/developmental disabilities.

Includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and camp gear.

Includes transportation from designated pick-up/drop-off sites in several area communities.

Choice of gift cards for teachers for completing questionnaires before camp begins and at the end of camp.

Focusing on positive reinforcement for in- and out-of-school behavior.

Social-emotional training to help maintain emotional control and foster healthy social interaction.

Strengthen and promote parent-child bonds.

Academic enrichment and prevention of summer learning loss.

The day camp is part of a program being conducted by Camp Shriver, and will run from Monday, July 8, 2024, to Friday, August 2, 2024, operating Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM on the UMass Amherst Mount Ida Campus in Newton MA.
