Our 11 trainees just completed their 3-day Certified Professional of Occupancy (CPO) webinar hosted by NAHMA - National Affordable Housing Management Association!

Their engagement, dedication, and professionalism shone through, and now they're gearing up for their last week! I can't believe week 9/10 is already done!

Next we they will review best practices before taking the CPO exam and prepare to transition into their various employer opportunities. Soon, they’ll be ready to launch their careers in the Greater Boston area with employers like WinnCompanies and Boston Housing Authority as Certified Professionals of Occupancy. Fingers and Toes crossed!

Our YMCA Medical Program Grad and 2nd year Boston Medical Center associate, Satiro V., spoke at the Workforce Competitiveness Trust Fund Grant Announcement today, held at the YMCA Education and Training Center.

The event celebrated the Senator Kenneth J. Donnelly Workforce Success Grant, which is managed by the Commonwealth Corporation, and was awarded to 15 organizations across MA to train and hire 1,112 individuals.

We'd like to thank Secretary Lauren Jones, Labor and Workforce Development, Commonwealth Corporation, many grant recipients, and our YMCA leadership. The YMCA will proudly partner with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Lahey Health, Boston Children's Hospital, and Boston Medical Center, to provide Training and placement services, including ESOL, for 96 participants.

Our YMCA Property Management Trainees just wrapped up Week 8 of their 10-week Job Training Program — and the finish line is in sight! 🏁 Next up: a 3-day webinar with the National Affordable Housing Management Association (NAHMA) where they'll be leveling up their knowledge and industry insight. 🧠🏘️

They've also aced their recent off-site visit to the BHA Mildred Hailey Apartment complex – practical learning at its finest! They learned all about the new redevelopment going on. 🌟 Keep up the fantastic work, team – you're all on the path to becoming future stars in property management! 🌟
