Sunday, September 3rd, 2023. A Lollygag is the perfect culmination to summer, a classic lazy haze.

A Lollygag is the perfect culmination to summer; and an essential lead-in to Labor Day, Burning Man or back-to-school. Enjoy kwality time with your pals and a boatload of strangers with a day trip to the amazing Georges Island in Boston Harbor. Ride the boat, picnic, explore a historic Civil War fort, snooze, play Frisbee or just behold the outer harbor's beauty! The Sunday (8/31) on the weekend of Labor Day weekend is the beginning and the end of the Lollygag's calendar.

How to LOLLYGAG: Gather your party and get out of the house and onto the boat. Embark from Long Wharf. Yacht it up through Boston Harbor. Find yourself on an island.

TIMING: It all takes place right smack in the middle of Labor Day weekend. Sunday morning, or perhaps early afternoon. Sunday, September 3rd, 2023.

NEXT: Explore the fort with a flashlight, take a nap, look at the skyline, throw a disk, chit-chat, watch the clouds, natter, kibbitz, picnic, visit the snack bar, apply sunscreen, play freeze-tag, bird-watch, visit the museum, make new friends.

There are NO LIMITS, though remember to get back on the boat at sunset.

Seeking after-school caregiver, 2 or 3 days/week

We are looking for a reliable and friendly after-school caregiver 2-3 days/week starting January 1st (we can discuss together which specific days). Hang out with a sweet, funny adolescent girl with developmental disabilities.

Meet her van at 2:20pm, provide a snack, and encourage her to play, chat, make art, or take walks. She often naps or has screen time, so you'll also have downtime. Higher pay if you want to do light kitchen housework. Afternoon shift ends at 5:30pm most days. Potential for additional weekend and evening hours. We are located directly on bus line (80 & 94), less than a mile from Tufts.

No prior experience with special needs is required, but flexibility, kindness, and a sense of humor go a long way! Must be punctual. Allergy alert: we are a 2 cat household. Please contact me or Meryl Perlson. Thanks!
