Building glutes with cable kickbacks is ALL about intention 👇
Slow tempo. Clean line of movement. No swinging. No hip rotation.
You should feel the glute working from the first rep.

Coaching cues:
• Lean forward
• Core tight so hips stay stable
• Drive back with the heel, not the toes
• Stop where YOU feel peak tension—not where the cable drags you
• 1–2 sec squeeze at the top → game changer 🔥

Today’s lower body session: Back squat + sandbag walking lunges

Why this combo works so well:
🔹 Global strength + local stability
Squats target global force production, while lunges challenge each leg individually.
🔹 Posterior chain activation
The squat loads glutes + quads, and the sandbag adds upper-back engagement.
🔹 Gait pattern training
Walking lunges improve balance, hip stability, and real-life movement efficiency.
🔹 Core integration
Sandbag position forces the core and obliques to manage shifting weight.

Simple structure, huge carryover to sport, hiking, running, and daily movement.

We hit every major muscle group — legs, back, glutes, core, and arms — through compound and isolation work:
• Barbell back squat
• DB bent-over row
• Hip thrust
• DB hip hinge
• Parallel grip lat pulldown
• Leg raises
• Push-ups and biceps curls to finish strong🔥
