Helen Y. Davis Leadership Academy isn't just a school—it's a nurturing environment for fostering positive Black academic identity development. Studies have shown that culturally relevant education significantly boosts the academic achievement and self-esteem of Black students. Our school is dedicated to this mission, providing a supportive space where students can excel academically and personally.
Our curriculum is truly one-of-a-kind. Through our SpelHouse program, we offer culture-based education that enriches educational and cultural opportunities for all students. This includes comprehensive African American history courses aimed at empowering historically underrepresented communities. Losing this unique curriculum would be a profound loss for our students and the wider community.
