Prom season is here and our students and staff at Kennedy Day School outdid themselves with a “Candy Land” theme for this year’s event! The kids dressed in beautiful prom attire and staff joined them in wearing Candy Land-themed outfits. They enjoyed friendship, sweet treats and of course – dancing!

What an egg-cellent morning at Kennedy Day School!
Students had a blast at today’s egg hunt, filled with smiles, teamwork and plenty of fun. It was a joyful way to celebrate the season and spend time together as a school community.

We're thrilled to share that the Wynn Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Encore Boston Harbor, has awarded Kennedy Day School a $50,000 Community Grant to fund a new wheelchair-accessible van!
This will be a game-changer for our transition program - helping students gain independence through community-based learning. Accessible transportation means more opportunities to build confidence, life skills and real-world connections.
We're grateful for this partnership and the impact it will have on our students.

Our annual Craft Fair was a hit! Students, staff and families came together to browse handmade treasures - from ornaments and candles to colorful wheelchair art - and enjoy tasty baked goods. All proceeds from today's fair support our programs, making every purchase meaningful. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year’s fair so special!
Our students loved having The Boston Pops stop by for a special holiday concert! Thank you for making the season bright!

Today, our KDS students brought the magic of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade right to campus with their very own KDS Balloon Parade! Each student designed and decorated a balloon inspired by their interests and imagination, then paraded through the school to showcase their colorful creations.
This new tradition was the perfect way to kick off the holiday season with joy, creativity, and community. We can’t wait to do it again next year!

Last Friday, the Kennedy Day School community proudly came together to honor Angelman Syndrome Awareness in celebration of one of our graduating students who lives with Angelman Syndrome.
A high school classroom organized a heartfelt celebration to recognize this student and highlight an important part of his identity before he graduates this December. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible staff and families - who donated an amazing assortment of baked goods - and the dedication of our Transition Program students, who sold the treats along with cards and snacks from the KDS snack cart, the event was a wonderful success in raising awareness and bringing our community together.
It was truly inspiring to see our community come together with such warmth and purpose. 💙

Last week, Kennedy Day School celebrated its beloved Harvest Festival with music, games, treats & crafts! From pumpkin decorating to apple bobbing, every student joined in the fall fun thanks to sensory-friendly activities.
