With the week drawing to an end, we want to thank everyone who has followed along with our page and interacted with our post. While our target demographic for this page was Gen X, we hope we could provide some insightful and helpful information for every generation that followed along. We hope that some of the things we've discussed throughout the week will stick with you, even if it's something as small as the different infographics or something from the interview. Thank you all again for the support, and those who helped make this campaign possible this week.

Happy Sunday!! Let’s have a conversation about persuasion techniques and how to spot them in messages. Most of the time sources will use one or more to engage audiences in different ways. As we have discussed, different media sources will want you to have different reactions for their message. Below we have created an infographic explaining different persuasion techniques that can be used in media to get different reactions out of audiences.
Here’s the last little bit from our interview with two members from gen x! We’ve learned a lot from our interviews with them and others from gen x. We hope we’ve been helpful in the last few days with helping others understand media literacy whether you’re gen x or not. 😊

Why is media literacy important? How do we discern fact from fiction while engaging with media?
We as consumers have to dig deeper into meaning and intent behind the stuff we see. If not, common issues like misinformation can be spread, unnecessary arguments online can be had, or extreme cases can happen because of things we are reading.
Our goal this week is to help gen x and others understand why sources post in certain ways and how they use different techniques for different reasons.
Hi everyone! This page is to meant to inform Gen X specifically on media literacy. Our goal is to teach and help Gen X understand the media they encounter on a daily basis, whether it’s on social media, the radio, or through television. We want to help you understand stories that are being put out and the intent behind them.
As we all know, not everyone has our best interest at heart. It’s so easy for us to spread information now, but we want to help you minimize the spread of misinformation and see the end from a source’s point of view!
Please follow along with us for the week as we post infographics, interviews, and more! 🙂
