Tonight was Premium Auction night and Home Ec Awards for my babies! Cecilia was very fortunate to make auction with her sweet blue laced wyandotte Peachy. So VERY grateful for Whitaker Farms for supporting us again this year and through the years!! It really is something special to have folks in the community who care about you and watch you grow year after year!!

Home Economics awards!! It's been a minute since I put my plants in! I'm always so proud when all three of us make the Grand Champion display!! Showing isn't just livestock. They put a lot of time and effort into crafting, sewing, crochet, arts, canning, beekeeping, photography and gardening on top of the billion other things they do! Creativity is and always will be a special gift in my house and being able to express ourselves is something I hope they will continue to pass down through generations!!

Goat show day was today!! It's been a hot one and kinda bittersweet their last Paris fair show 😭😭 They were nervous as always but they got out there and showed off all the work they put in this year. Raising livestock is hard labor and there are days like this week where the heat makes you just want to give up but when you have lives that depend on you there is no quiting. All those trips filling up waters all summer makes you appreciate all the ice breaking they did through winter to make sure their animals stayed healthy and hydrated. On top of all the other things they do you would wonder how in the world they find time to sleep. It's been a long day so we should all sleep good tonight 🥵😴 They were only ones showing from Magazine this year and I was worried that they wouldn't have much support but I have to say a special shout out to our ag teachers that stepped in this year...Mr McGaugh had big shoes to fill for FFA and he been showing up to support them and haul fans and equipment during the hottest days of the year! Coach Bryan who is doing ag vet science this year made a special surprise visit to watch the girls in their final Logan County show and just to know there are people showing up for them makes this mama heart so grateful ❤️
