The Boone track and field teams have a JV/Varsity Coed Invitational Meet at Bondurant today starting at 4:15pm! They take on Bondurant-Farrar, Des Moines North, Perry, Roland-Story, Saydel, and Winterset. Go out and support our girls and boys!

Two of our Boone High seniors, Ally Thompson and Wesley Sharp, were recently recognized for their academic achievements through Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community college students. Both are members of Phi Theta Kappa at Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC Boone) and were selected to represent DMACC at the Phi Theta Kappa Night of Honors.

At the event, Ally and Wesley were both named to the All-Iowa Academic Team, a scholarship program that recognizes top community college students in the state for their academic success, leadership, and involvement in their college and community. In addition, Wesley Sharp was also selected as a Coca-Cola All-Iowa Academic Team member. Congratulations you two!

The girls competed hard last night. Great season ladies!

The Boone Toreadors girls’ basketball team saw its season end as Webster City held on for a 42–36 overtime victory in the Class 4A, Region 2 quarterfinal, Wednesday, February 18, in Webster City.
