The perfect farm and homestead at a great price - country living at its finest!

We hope you are enjoying the cooler weather and that you have been eating well as we transition from Summer to Fall. We have compiled a set of farm updates that we would like to share as our little farm family makes a bittersweet transition of our own.

In June, we announced through our newsletter that Taylor was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis on May 1st. While feeling better than he was, Taylor is still recovering from that major flare-up, which made it impossible for him to work on the farm and generate income during the height of the farming season. Our amazing friends and neighbors set up a GoFundMe to assist us with keeping our family afloat this Summer as Taylor healed.

We wish we could personally thank each and every one of you who so generously supported us this Summer through contributions to our GoFundMe. With your support, Taylor was able to devote the Summer to healing and gaining a better understanding of how to manage his Ulcerative Colitis. The past six months have been an emotional and physical roller coaster for Taylor, but we are relieved to report that he feels confident with his current treatment plan to help manage his symptoms.

That being said, as much as we thought that we would raise a family and grow old here on our farm in Bolton, it turns out that wasn't quite in the cards for us. Raising a baby has made us realize how important it is to live close to family for additional support (and some occasional babysitting, too!). That is why we have made the bittersweet decision to relocate closer to Marbury's family in North Carolina. We plan to expand our fruit tree nursery operation and continue to grow healthy food in the new setting and we look forward to sending updates along the way!

Our farm property is currently for sale and we would be incredibly appreciative if you could pass the listing information around to anybody who might be interested. Anybody who has come to visit the farm or has participated in a farm tour over the past several years can attest to how special and welcoming this spot truly is.

We are halfway to our fundraising goal - thank you so much to all who have chipped in so far!


As the demand for our fruit tree collection continues to grow, we are working hard to expand our offerings so that our unique yet easy-to-grow fruit trees are available on a larger scale. Part of this scaling up process requires implementing an efficient plant-labeling system - one that does not depend on "permanent" markers and tags that eventually fade from exposure to sunlight and water.
