This is probably going to become one of my favorite Sacred & Sovereign series called “Wisdom is a She” which was a program I designed over 12 years ago that never took flight until now. Wisdom doesn’t happen overnight. Not even close.

When you read the book of Proverbs, Lady Wisdom isn’t merely presented as an abstract idea. She is personified as a woman standing in the streets, calling out to anyone who will listen. She doesn’t whisper to the elite. She doesn’t reserve herself for the wealthy or the educated. She calls to everyone, inviting us to choose understanding over impulse, discernment over deception, and truth over comfort.

In many ways, Lady Wisdom reminds me of the gentle voice of the Holy Spirit. Not because they are identical, but because both continually point us back toward what is true, good, and life giving. One voice pulls us toward pride, fear, and distraction. The other patiently calls us back to our True North.

Lady Justice carries balanced scales because truth doesn’t play favorites. Justice doesn’t ask how much money you have, what title you hold, what political party you belong to, or what your last name is. True justice weighs every heart by the same standard. Her blindfold reminds us that truth is not supposed to be influenced by appearance, status, or popularity.

When God gave Moses the Law, it wasn’t simply a list of rules meant to condemn humanity. The Law revealed the target. It showed humanity what was good, what was holy, and what it meant to live in harmony with God and with one another. Scripture teaches that sin is “missing the mark.” An archer cannot know they’ve missed unless there is first a target to aim at.

That’s why I love the image of Lady Wisdom as the Divine Archer.

She isn’t standing over us waiting to shame us every time we miss. She’s teaching us how to aim.

That’s where our new Sacred & Sovereign model comes in.

Acknowledge you’ve missed.

Invite God’s wisdom.

Move back toward True North.

One of my favorite sayings is, “Practice doesn’t make perfect. Practice makes permanent.”

You’ll miss the target sometimes. We all do.

But every time you return to Truth, every time you choose humility over pride, forgiveness over bitterness, courage over fear, and wisdom over impulse, you’re strengthening your aim. You never forget where the target is. You simply keep returning to it.

Maybe that’s what spiritual maturity really looks like.

Not becoming someone who never misses.

But becoming someone who knows exactly where to aim and keeps returning to True North.

That’s the journey I’m trying to live, and I hope these upcoming “Wisdom is a She” series will encourage you as much as they’ve encouraged me while creating them. I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite series yet.

It is easy to become discouraged when we look around and see division, conflict, uncertainty, and uncomfortable truths coming to the surface. Yet throughout Scripture, God often allowed hidden things to be exposed before He brought healing. Exposure is not always a sign of destruction. Sometimes it is the first step toward restoration.

Jesus said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” Truth has a purpose. It is not meant to leave us trapped in fear or outrage. It is meant to lead us toward humility, repentance, wisdom, and ultimately freedom. We cannot heal what we refuse to acknowledge.

As more truth comes to light, it is natural to feel anger. There is such a thing as righteous anger. Jesus Himself demonstrated it when He cleansed the temple. The goal is not to extinguish the fire within us, but to direct it with wisdom.

Before reacting, become your own fire hydrant. Pause. Pray. Discern. Ask what is true. Return to your True North. Let your anger become fuel for courage, conviction, and compassion instead of bitterness, revenge, or hatred. Fire can destroy, or it can refine. The difference is who is holding the flame.

The Bible tells the story of nations that prospered when they walked with God and suffered when they turned away from Him. Yet the story never ends there. Again and again, God extended mercy to people who humbled themselves, sought His face, turned from their own ways, and returned to Him. His heart has always been restoration more than condemnation.

Maybe the greatest question for America today is not, “Who is to blame?” but, “Lord, what are You asking of me?” Revival has never begun with everyone else. It begins in ordinary people who choose truth over deception, humility over pride, repentance over self righteousness, and love over hatred.

As we begin this week, let us pray for our families, our communities, our leaders, and our nation. Let us face the truth with courage, regulate our emotions with wisdom, and remember that God can use both exposure and conviction to bring healing. May we return to Him so that our hearts, our homes, and our nation can experience restoration.

ENDING PATTERNS, LOOPS & CYCLES TAKES PRACTICE: Every one of us has loops. We repeat the same thoughts, the same reactions, the same relationships, and often wonder why life keeps producing the same results. Most of the time, the cycle doesn’t begin with our circumstances. It begins with a lie we have believed. That lie creates an offense, the offense influences our response, our response produces an outcome, and before long the pattern becomes familiar.

At Sacred & Sovereign, we call this the L.O.O.P.

L is for Lie Believed.
O is for Offense Taken.
O is for Outcome Repeated.
P is for Pattern Perpetuated.

The beautiful part is that every loop has an exit, and that’s where your H.O.O.P. comes in.

H is for Honor what is yours.
O is for Own your choices.
O is for Obey your values.
P is for Protect your peace.

Think of your life like standing inside a hula hoop.

Everything inside your hoop is your responsibility. Your thoughts. Your attitude. Your words. Your healing. Your boundaries. Your faith. Your next right step.

Everything outside your hoop belongs to someone else. Their opinions. Their choices. Their emotions. Their healing. Their drama. Their approval.

The moment we step outside our HOOP trying to control what was never ours, we usually step right back into another LOOP.

Freedom is not found in managing everyone else. Freedom is found in faithfully tending the field God entrusted to you. Practice often and be patient with yourself. They work if you work them.

Honor your HOOP. Break the LOOP. Return to your True North.

Draw near to God. Every true renewal begins when the heart turns back to Him without pretending. As this month ends, let your pursuit of God continue. Keep seeking Him with sincerity and allow Christ to be formed in you day by day. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:8

There is something beautiful about the way God works. He does not wait until we become who we were created to be before He calls us by our true name. He calls us according to our destiny, then patiently walks with us as we grow into it.

Jacob wrestled with God through the night before he received the name Israel. Peter wrestled with fear before he truly became the Rock Jesus had already called him to be. One held on until daybreak. The other broke down before sunrise. Both struggled. Both failed in different ways. Both discovered that God was far more committed to their future than their past.

What if the struggle is not proof that you have lost your calling? What if the struggle is the very place where your calling is being forged? Jacob’s limp became a reminder that he had encountered God. Peter’s scars became a reminder that grace is stronger than failure. Neither man earned his new identity. They received it and then spent the rest of their lives growing into it.

As you step into this weekend, remember that your journey is not about pretending to be strong enough. It is about holding on to the One who is. Every mountain climbed, every valley crossed, every prayer whispered in the dark is shaping you into the person heaven already sees. God is not surprised by your wrestling. He is using it to establish your footing upon the Rock.

May this weekend remind you that your story is still unfolding. Keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep wrestling when you must. One day you will look back and realize that what felt like your greatest struggle was actually the place where God was calling you into your true name.

QUEEN OF HEARTS: Princess Diana reminded the world that true influence is not measured by titles, wealth, or status. It is measured by the lives we touch. While many admired her elegance and beauty, what people remember most is the way she treated others. She knelt to speak with children, embraced those society had forgotten, and chose compassion when it would have been easier to remain distant.

In a world that often celebrates power, Diana showed us that kindness is its own form of strength. She hugged children when others kept their distance. She visited AIDS patients during a time when many people were still afraid to touch them. She sat beside the forgotten. She made eye contact with those society overlooked.

She understood that leadership is not about standing above people. It is about walking among them, listening to their stories, and using your position to bring hope to those who have none. That kind of courage leaves a legacy that outlives fame.

None of us are called to live the exact life she lived, but all of us are invited to carry the same heart. Every conversation is an opportunity to make someone feel seen. Every act of generosity, every encouraging word, and every moment of genuine compassion becomes a quiet testimony that love is stronger than pride.

Jesus taught that the greatest among us would be servants. Princess Diana’s life reminds us that the world may remember crowns, but heaven notices the heart. May we pursue a life marked not only by excellence, but by mercy, humility, and the courage to love people well.

DAILY DAYENU: There is something deeply freeing about realizing that gratitude was never meant to be reserved for perfect circumstances. One of the beautiful traditions of Passover is the prayer called Dayenu, which means, “It would have been enough.” The people remembered each step of God’s faithfulness and paused after every blessing to say, “If He had only done this one thing, it would have been enough.” Yet God continued to give more.

Jesus carried that same posture throughout His life. He gave thanks before the miracle, before Lazarus walked out of the tomb, and even before the cross. Gratitude was not a reward after everything worked out. It was an expression of trust in the Father’s character, even when the outcome had not yet been seen.

As we begin a new week, maybe the invitation is not to chase more, but to notice what is already in front of us. The breath in our lungs, the sunrise on the horizon, the lessons we’ve learned through difficult seasons, the people who have walked beside us, and the grace that has carried us farther than we could have gone alone. Every one of those moments is another opportunity to whisper, Dayenu.

This week, instead of asking, “What am I still missing?” try asking, “Where has God already been faithful?” Gratitude has a way of recalibrating our hearts and helping us return to our True North. When we remember His faithfulness, fear loses its grip, hope begins to rise, and we find the strength to take the next faithful step.
