In case we haven’t met yet, “hi” my name is Melanie. I’ve had a passion for interior design since I was a kid rearranging furniture in my bedroom and styling my parents living room (🤭). Working as a designer in San Francisco exposed me to the world of vintage and antique furnishings and how they can add soul and character to a home (Hint, not your grandmas antiques!) I love how collecting pieces along the way, through travels and life’s special moments, we can surround ourselves with pieces that tell our story and create a space with soul. My motto for design is “curated, not cookie cutter”. I believe that our (home) environment has a strong impact on how we feel, and when we feel good in our home it’s a great way to start and end the day. 🤍 Love|Design|Home, Melanie

Curved ceilings, original brick fireplace, and re-staining, rather than painting the original wainscoting. Honoring the historical details in this 1914 Craftsman home.

Would love to hear who your favorite celebrity designer is! Maybe it’s not on this list? My fave is the only male on this list 👍🏻

Love a little styling moment that includes something old, something alive 🌿 and a stack of design or travel books 📚.

The inspiration for this guest bedroom came from a hot pink wingback chair my client wanted to incorporate into the room. The soft green walls created a neutral backdrop for pink, black and pattern to pop.

The design for this nursery came together by using a few special antique pieces my client wanted to incorporate, and leaning into a neutral palette with a focus on subtle details, like the star pattern ceiling wallpaper, vintage chandelier and custom textured area rug. Simple, classic and sweet.

Just because it’s neutral, doesn’t mean it’s boring when you incorporate a mix of textures to add dimension and interest to a space.
