Upcoming Event:

A soul-stirring celebration of the Lunar New Year, co-facilitated by Kelly Lee and Sherika Tenaya.

Kelly will begin the evening by immersing us in the energetics of the Year of the Wood Snake, setting the tone for renewal and transformation. This will be followed by a serene tea ceremony, offering a moment of connection and grounding.

Sherika will then guide you through a gentle somatic movement flow, seamlessly transitioning into a deeply restorative Yoga Nidra meditation with a sacred twist. This unique Nidra practice weaves visualization and self-resourcing tools, enriched by Sherika’s Native American philosophy and spiritual wisdom. Participants will connect with spiritual allies and ancestors, creating a symbolic garment of support to carry into the new year.

Kelly will continue to hold the space with the resonant sounds of drums, flutes, bowls, gongs, and other sacred instruments, designed to guide you into a theta brainwave state—a gateway to deep relaxation, clarity, and spiritual connection.

Come to honor the Lunar New Year and leave feeling deeply resourced, supported, and inspired.

Always a weird day for those of us with tribal affiliations in the USA.

While you are feasting and thinking grateful thoughts about all the things you have in life, please take a moment to consider how you might back up your thoughts of gratitude with action to support the Native tribes in your local area with their struggles today.

In Idaho, we live on the unceded lands of the Newe (Shoshone-Bannock Tribe), Numu (Shoshone-Paiute Tribe), Nimiipuu (Nez Perce Tribe), Schitsu’umsh (Coeur d’Alene Tribe), and Ktunaxa (Kootenai Tribe).

Did you know that if it weren't for the efforts of the Indigenous tribes of Idaho, the salmon would already be extinct?

Are you aware that the Kootenai tribe has labored for over a decade to prevent pollution in the Kootenai river from one of Canada's mining operations?

Here is a link describing just *some* of the work Idaho tribes are doing behind the scenes to benefit us all and ideas for how to support them and their work:

https://idahoconservation.org/blog/honoring-native-american-heritage-month-4-ways-to-support-tribes-in-idaho/

Don't celebrate today, contemplating gratitude, and miss the forest for the trees. Native people have never stopped our covenant with the land, despite massive oppression from yt folks and their government. Our struggles are still present today as Native people, and if you can pull your awareness away from distraction and over-consumption, you might see how our struggles are more shared than ever.

What can you *do*, with embodied action, to back up your stated gratitude and remorse for what happened historically in this country?

Less talky talky, more do-ey, do-ey.

Love y'all.

This poet is one of my absolute favorites!!

my mom said
they don’t get to decide
who you are
they don’t get to tell you
what to do
and my dad said
you are so much more
than who they want you to be

they said these things
when i was two
twelve
twenty
thirty-almost-forty
over and over again
in many ways
whispered across pews
and spoken at home
in car rides back from bible study
and in phone calls on late nights away at college
they said these things
these rebellious things
because they knew i was not a rebellious child
and they knew
i’d eventually need the example

when they had to decide between
god and me
my parents chose me
and i can’t think of a better gift
to give your child
than one of radical acceptance by way of blasphemy

the church doesn’t trap individuals
it traps families
generational trauma is god’s favorite delicacy
he picks his teeth clean with the bones of our ancestors
and a parent who tells their child
to run
is just as strong (if not stronger)
than the parent who wasn’t stuck in the first place

i am who i am because of my parents
not in spite of them
and i realize how incredibly lucky that makes me
and i realize how incredibly humbled that makes me
and i realize how incredibly angry that makes me

because they show me that love is an easy choice
love is a thoughtless, painless choice
and yet
there are still so many
who refuse to choose it

I was recently interviewed by a colleague about my work and had the following quote that I really want to share around how much more important conscious s*xuality and expression is than this culture likes to acknowledge.

Yes, I am quoting myself! That's how brilliant I am! LOL

"I think that is what makes s*x so powerful and so connecting. When s*x is consciously done, it is so vulnerable. Not only are you physically naked before someone, but all of you is
naked- your insecurities can come up, you body secretions, smells, and sounds. To be seen in a s*xual way is to be seen in so many other ways, and that vulnerability is very brave work.

To be present with my lover, I have to be present with me.

I have to accept the parts of me that feel ‘ugly’. Similarly in the spiritual battle, there is a lot of people who hide from their shadow, that disown parts of their being that are considered ugly by their family or community of origin . So calling in that ugliness and those shadow pieces and befriending them is such an important way of finding the wholeness that the healing grows from."

What parts of your shadow do you hide from?

What parts of you were you taught are unlovable?

What does it look like to turn towards those aspects of self, get curious about them and invite them back in?

How vulnerable do you allow yourself to be both inside the bedroom and outside of it?

How does blocking off your vulnerability impact your capacity to connect to those you love, and especially, yourself?

If you wish to learn ways to address these pieces, you might consider scheduling some sessions with me. Available online or in person. Schedule here:

There is something so satisfying about teaching my curipus and enthusiastic male clients how female ge***al and anatomy (tends to) work.

I was told by my client, who was able to receive my live demonstration with correct presence amd reverence, that he “wished I had received this education twenty years ago!”

It is my joy and honor to help educate people to show up in the world as better lovers and better humans.

All one needs to have confidence is some real life clarity of education.

I have some openings coming up in my schedule for any other intrepid learners out there who desire it.
