The last few years have been hard, and 2025 was easily the most painful season of my life. I was supported in a million ways through it by the steady presence of “my” people who showed up for me—you know who you are and there aren’t words to express my gratitude. 💜
This season taught me what I’m made of, and now I’m choosing something different for the new year. I’m choosing softness. I’m choosing a year where my nervous system can finally exhale, my mind can slow down, and life can feel gentle and easy again. GD it’s been too long.
Kevin is gone, but I’m still here. Breathing. Becoming. Living. And that’s the intention for this next year—more living, more joy, more ease. It’s what I need and what he would INSIST that I have.
So if 2026 Lorie shows up a little quieter, a little softer and less tolerant (and spicy) of anything that disturbs her peace…please be gentle with her. She’s still figuring it all out. 🤍
May 2026 bring us all the gifts and lessons we need. Personally I’m hoping for more gifts cause f**k the “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”
