A few highlights from 2025:
-We have published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks!
-We have presented our work at international conferences!
-Our undergraduate students have presented their work at research symposiums
-We have partnered with the Schoolhouse Children's Museum in Boynton to bring sensory-oriented programming to the community! Our upcoming sensory story times are in February
We have welcomed new graduate students into the lab
And so much more!

Florida Atlantic University received two gifts from the George T. Elmore Impact for Good Initiative. The donations included $200,000 to support the launch of Florida Atlantic University Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute's Center for the Resilient Mind.

This gift will strengthen faculty leadership, provide pilot research project funding for emerging scientists, and fund graduate students in their studies as they investigate the foundations of the resilient mind across the human lifespan.

Meet our lab coordinator, Lindsey Riera-Gomez! Lindsey is in her final year of the experimental psychology PhD program. Her research focuses on parent-infant relationships and early social brain development. Her dissertation is about interbrain synchrony during infant-parent play! Lindsey loves to read sci-fi and classic literature, and she just got a new puppy!

Meet Tomas, he is in his first year of his master program at our lab. He loves to listen to 2010’s music, AC/DC, and Frank Sinatra. Welcome to the lab!

Meet Charle, he is a 2nd Bacc student earning a dual degree in Psychology and Biological Sciences. He is a NIRS data assistant and NIRS Operator. He loves to go to the beach and his favorite book is The Kite Runner. Welcome back to the lab!

Meet Alex, he recently graduated with a BS in Neuroscience and Behavior. He is a NIRS data assistant and Babysitter/Floater. He aspires to become a physician. Welcome back to the lab!

Meet Kaylie, she is a senior majoring in Psychology. She is a CIB coder and a Camera Operator. Her favorite show is Doctor Who. Welcome back to the lab!

Meet Angela, she is a junior majoring in Biology. She is an Admin. Her favorite music genres are funk, rock, hyperpop, RnB, and Metal. Welcome to the lab!
