We have begun our recruitment campaign for IDEAL Cohort 5 to begin in Spring 2024.

IDEAL MASTER'S DEGREE FOR K-12 SCHOOL LEADERS. Enrollment is open for teacher leaders wishing to take the next step in their careers towards school administration and other school-based leadership roles. Join our rigorous, nationally recognized leadership preparation program, and become part of a high-performing cohort starting in Spring 2023. On August 17, 2022, the Department held its annual retreat to bring the faculty together for the first time in two years in order to establish common goals and objectives for the upcoming academic year. A wonderful start to what is looking to be a productive and exciting year for the team.

FAU RECEIVES $1 MILLION GRANT FOR EQUITY IN INSTRUCTIONAL PERFORMANCE
Florida Atlantic University’s College of Education School Leaders Program has been awarded a three-year, $1,039,041 grant from Broward County Public Schools (BCPS) to support two graduate degree programs as part of the Teacher School Leader Equity for Instructional Performance (EQUIP) grant project initiative. BCPS is the sixth largest public school system in the United States and the second largest in Florida.

College of Education students are in London with Dr. Susan Dennett at the London Metropolitan University learning about the educational systems in the UK.

Christina Steger, IDEAL Cohort 3, has been selected as the 2022 Teacher of the Year for the Martin County School District. Ms. Steger is a member of the faculty at South Fork High School in Stuart, Florida. Congratulations Christi!!!

4/12/2022 - Dr. Susan Dennett, member of the Adult and Communication Education Program faculty, received this year's Exceptional Faculty Award for the Northern Campuses 2022 (College of Education). This is a particularly special honor as the award is based on student nominations.
