Significant Changes for Florida Families with Students with Disabilities

Under a new Florida law (HB 1105), students with disabilities who don't meet diploma requirements will no longer receive a Certificate of Completion. For many families, this certificate was more than paper — it helped secure jobs, vocational training, and a sense of accomplishment for their child.

At Lloyd Preparatory School, we believe every student deserves recognition and a pathway to success — no exceptions.

Here's how we're responding:

Personalized academic planning to help students reach diploma requirements where possible.

Alternative credential pathways that build real-world skills.

Social-emotional and job-readiness support for life beyond school.

Family advocacy and guidance to help you navigate these changes.

Our commitment is simple: every student leaves Lloyd Prep with something that opens doors, not closes them.
