You have a college senior, who appears to be clueless on what to do after they graduate. And you are sending texts day after day of LinkedIn jobs that you see online but don’t seem to be getting the warm and fuzzy appreciation you were hoping for.

The truth is sending them those links is only adding to their frustration.

Think about it. Those jobs were written by somebody with decades of work experience. They are not written in a language a college student with minimal to no corporate professional experience understands.

So your student reads those job descriptions and feels overwhelmed. Worse than that, they feel lost and unqualified for anything. And that’s why I built SIGNAL. SIGNAL takes the job and their résumé and breaks it down into language they understand. It shows them where their experience directly correlates to a skill the job is seeking. It removes the unknown and allows the student to once again feel confident and qualified while simultaneously guiding them into what positions makes sense and which may be a waste of time.

so go ahead and send them that text with the LinkedIn text and test your luck, or send them the link to SIGNAL - FREE to try - and finally get that appreciation you deserve.

Just applying to more applications is not a strategy. It’s applying blind.
Spend your time applying to the jobs that you can win, that makes sense for you, and that are worth your time.
Not sure how to find those? SIGNAL. Link in bio for free access. Stop applying blind.

We ask students what they want to do before they’ve figured out who they are professionally.

I’m changing the order.

You don’t need to know who you want to be..

Everyone else does not have their s**t together. At 32 and 42 and 52 people are still asking the same question. Nobody expects a 22-year-old to have the answer.

But that doesn’t get you out of taking a step forward. And a step forward is not a life sentence. It’s not picking your identity. It’s being willing to explore something.

So this week, start a list. Things you do in a normal week that you actually enjoy. The color-coded planner. The formal you organized. The one assignment you didn’t hate writing. The group project spreadsheet you fixed at 1am because nobody else was going to.

And if nothing on the list is something you love, write down what you don’t hate. That counts.

Once you know the tasks, I’ll show you how to turn them into job titles. That’s the next one.

What’s on your list? Say one.

HE GOT THE JOB! Why? Because he didn’t rely on just applying and waiting. He put himself out there. He emailed the CEO directly and stood out.
6 days between application, 2 interviews and an offer. 🍾

Real five-day timeline. “Dylan” gave me permission to share it.

Wednesday: applied, then emailed an actual person at the company instead of stopping at the portal. Reply in 45 minutes.
Thursday: Zoom with the hiring manager, scheduled for today.
Friday: we prepped. Out loud, not in his head.
Today: “Crushed the interview. In person on Wednesday.”

Applying is step one. Step two is the whole thing.

Go get it, Dylan.
