Kevra's Korner

Got to meet this young man, Nathan today. Nathan has been one of my VV virtual students this summer. He happens to live close to our airBNB in the Chicago area. It was so fun meeting for ice cream with his mom and little sister. I love my students, Kevra's Korner and the freedom I have to be the teacher God blessed me to be.

Summer contracts are done, Zoom links are created....emails with all this information will be sent by Sunday evening. Sessions begin on Monday.

As we head into summer, I want to thank all my families that have blessed me this year with your children. It has been a complete pleasure to get to teach in my own way from my beautiful home classroom. Each student has worked hard to improve reading and math skills. I am so proud of all of them. School year 2022-23 at Kevra's Korner comes to an end this Friday, May 26th. Have a wonderful summer everyone.

Announcing the second graduate from Kevra's Korner..... Congratulations to Jason for completing the LiPS program today. Jason started with me in November barely able to decode even simple words. After 77 hours of hard work, Jason is an amazing reader. He is able to decode any word you put in front of him. Today he read words like officiate, sufficient, certificate and graduate. Jason, you are going to soar to new heights in fourth grade. You are unstoppable.

Announcing the first graduate from Kevra's Korner. Ava worked so hard in my Visualizing and Verbalizing Reading Comprehension program. She attended classes 4 times a week, completed 85 hours of instruction. Ava has gained reading comprehension skills at and above her grade level. She loves reading now and is leaving elementary school with confidence in her abilities to succeed in middle school. I am so proud of this amazing young lady. Congratulations, Ava! 🎉🥰🎉

Kevra's Korner will be closed for my son's wedding April 26-May 2nd.
