Check out the latest interview from WPBF 25 Newswith Professor Alejandro Sanchez-Samper on the Latin Grammy–nominated album Milonguín by the Giovanni Parra Quinteto. 🎶 Produced and recorded at FAU through the university’s own label, Hoot/Wisdom Recordings, the album is nominated in the Best Tango category. 💃✨

FAU’s Department of Music will be represented at the Latin Grammys this November!

After a nationwide search, we are thrilled to have Dr. JoseLeonardo Leon join our faculty as Assistant Professor of Music Entrepreneurship and Applied Music. Dr. Leon will lead the FAU Trombone Studio, as well as develop the FAU Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters new Initiative for Arts and Performance Entrepreneurship. Welcome Dr. Leon!

Join FAU Music for the upcoming Concerto & Aria performed by the FAU Symphony Orchestra with Solo Competition Winners.

Featuring the winners of the Dr. Eric H. Shaw Concerto and Aria Excellence in Performance Awards with the FAU Symphony
Orchestra, conducted by Laura Joella, DMA, and the world
premiere performance of the orchestral composition by the
winner of the 2nd Annual Dr. Eric H. Shaw Excellence in Music Composition Award. These soloists, chosen through a highly
competitive audition, include FAU’s finest. The evening will
begin with the energetic Caribbean dance, The Bamboula,
Rhapsodic Dance for Orchestra by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor

The event will take place on Thursday, February 22, at 7 pm, at the FAU University Theatre.
