So proud of my client Anne-Claire Cleaver and the absolutely gorgeous album she’s releasing this month. It’s dreamy and luscious and grounded. This article is such a beautiful snapshot of who she is and what she does. If you’re around Chapel Hill, catch her at Cat’s Cradle tomorrow, Sept 4!

Anne-Claire's dynamic new album "Do You Dream of Me Too?" draws from the musician's deep well of experience as a vocal teacher.

I’m so happy to share this.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Zahara, director of the Berklee Indian Ensemble, and I’m excited to help spread the word about their crowdfunding campaign.

This is an extraordinary group of artists doing ambitious, beautiful work, and if you’re interested in supporting independent music-making and helping artists bring a big creative project to life, I hope you’ll take a look.

Every contribution and share helps. ❤️

Congrats to client Anne-Claire Cleaver on this gorgeous release!

North Carolina singer/songwriter Anne-Claire steps boldly back into music with her breathtakingly beautiful “River,” the lush, orchestral lead single from her forthcoming EP ‘Do You Dream of Me Too?’ whose tale of interrupted love flows through unresolved yearning, theatrical sweep, and a dr...

The world feels scary right now.
The news is heavy.
The economy feels shaky.

There’s a low-grade hum of uncertainty underneath everything.

And when things feel like this, the instinct is to shrink.

To wait.
To postpone.
To tell yourself, “I’ll focus on my art when things calm down.”

But here’s what I believe:

We don’t need art less in times like this.
We need it more.

We need voices that are honest.
We need songs that metabolize fear.
We need beauty.
We need meaning.
We need artists who are willing to stay awake and make something anyway.

You do not need perfect conditions to become the artist you are.

So I’m opening two 12-month coaching spots on a pay-what-you-can basis.

If finances have been the only thing holding you back, and you’re ready to actually move, this is for you.

Structure.
Accountability.
Momentum.
Finishing things.

Comment READY or DM me and I’ll send details.

Make art anyway. The world needs it.

Most of this work will never go viral.
It’s not flashy.
It’s not overnight.
It’s not “big breakthrough and now everything is perfect.”
It’s daily songwriting in GarageBand.
It’s paperwork and leases.
It’s learning how to sing the songs you once thought weren’t for you.
It’s stabilizing a mix voice.
It’s building a practice that honors your brain.
It’s opening a studio.
It’s booking a tour.
It’s standing in a 1,200-seat hall and also showing up to an open mic.
It’s artists rearranging their lives — gently, bravely — around what matters.
This is the kind of growth I care about.
Sustainable. Integrated. Whole-human.
If you’re craving artistry that fits your real life (not someone else’s timeline), my door is open. 💛
