Senior Spotlight! Alexa Cain will be graduating in December with a degree in audio engineering and sound production, a minor in music production, and a certificate in music entrepreneurship.

I am honored to have been a part of the audio engineering program. I am so thankful for the lessons I’ve learned, the bands I’ve gotten the pleasure of collaborating with, the friends I made along the way, and every professor who helped me become the confident engineer I am today. this program really helped me be able to combine my passion with my career choice. Moving forward after graduation, I’ll be doing live sound at Tootsie’s in Nashville, Tennessee, and engineering at Master Franco Audio Lab. I will also be continuing my production company, Ethereal Mind Productions, in hopes of continuing to collaborate and work with amazing people.

"I'm so lucky to have been able to spend the last four years here in Bloomington making music with so many talented musicians and bands. This program showed me what I wanted to do with my career and gave me the skills and resources to do it. I am deeply thankful for the faculty at IU, my mentors and peers, my family, and all of my friends who have trusted me with their music. I intend to continue producing and mixing music professionally and pursuing my own music in either Chicago or Los Angeles."
