Keeping a 40 year old Russian warbird in top condition requires patience and long hours sometimes. Everyone helps where they can and we get through it, sharing a couple laughs along the way. That is, as long as our supply of hand wipes doesn't run out. Dama isn't the cleanest lady around....

Yesterday we headed out to Pam’s Place for the pancake breakfast. We had our first grass strip landing with the Yak and Crackly Airplane joined us in the biplane. Met some great folks at Pam’s Place and the pancakes were excellent, thank you for the hospitality!

We named our Yak 'Dama', meaning Lady in Russian, and she's a thirsty girl, drinking oil like it's going out of style due to her radial engine. We buy enough oil to keep Sporty’s in business! And she happens to love gas too….😳
