IWU at PASIC 2025!

Adjunct percussion faculty member Jamie Mauck represented Illinois Wesleyan at the 50th Percussive Arts Society International Convention in Indianapolis! While there, he caught up with recent alum Lucas Barger ’25, who performed with SIUC’s percussion ensemble.

Lucas shared that his time at IWU—and the support of our School of Music faculty—more than prepared him for graduate school. We love seeing our alumni thriving and staying connected!

The Illinois Wesleyan University School of Music is proud to welcome back Lindsay Ring ’21, euphonium, for a masterclass at 1 p.m. and recital at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 23.

Lindsay currently performs with the United States Army Field Band, the Army’s premier touring ensemble, which has taken her across the country and internationally to Switzerland and Finland. She has received recognition in numerous competitions, including the Leonard Falcone International Euphonium-Tuba Competition, the Susan Slaughter Solo Competition, and the Music International Grand Prix Competition, where she won first place in the Young Adult Winds category.

An Illinois Wesleyan graduate with a degree in Music Education, Lindsay studied with Ed Risinger and was the winner of both the Concerto Aria and Wind Ensemble Solo Competitions. She later earned dual master’s degrees in Euphonium Performance and Chamber Music from the University of Michigan.

Join us in welcoming Lindsay back to campus for this special event.
