The Summer Experience in Sustainability & the Environment (SESE) is focused on engaging students in education in the environment and sustainability.
The Summer Experience in Sustainability & the Environment program (or SESE) is a hands-on program focusing on engaging Indianapolis-area high school students in educational experiences focused on the environment and sustainability, while they experience residence on the IUB campus! SESE was founded in 2016, and is a partnership between Indiana University's Integrated Program in the Environment, Community & School Partnerships (a unit of OVPDEMA), and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, Inc.

We've received some questions about eligibility- in order to attend the SESE program you:
- Must be in good academic standing.
- Must be passionate about the environment and sustainability and excited to learn.
Preference is given to incoming Juniors/Seniors (as-of Fall 2019), underrepresented youth (including minority, low-income, and first generation college students), and those who exhibit intellectual merit.

Spend 4 days and 3 nights on IU's campus this summer with the SESE program! Participants explore the environmental field through educational and recreational activities, and learn about college and career opportunities from current IU students, staff and faculty.
