Bloomfield Middle School FFA has A LOT to celebrate today!!

Bloomfield Middle FFA has been recognized in the 2026 National Chapter Award Program from the National FFA Organization. They were given a 3 STAR ranking. Less than 10% of chapters NATIONWIDE are given a ranking from the National FFA Organization.

Bloomfield Middle FFA has also been named a NATIONAL FINALIST this year for the MODEL OF EXCELLENCE AWARD AREA. Only 5 middle school FFA chapters NATIONWIDE are selected as national finalists within the National Chapter Award. We are the FIRST national finalist Kentucky has ever had in this contest!!

We will compete for the national winner title on
Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Indianapolis at the 99th National FFA Convention & Expo.

The program recognizes outstanding FFA chapters throughout the country that actively implement the mission and strategies of the organization. These chapters improve chapter operations using the National Quality FFA Chapter Standards and a Program of Activities that emphasizes growing leaders, building communities and strengthening agriculture.
Chapters are rewarded for providing educational experiences for the entire membership.

FFA Camp was a BLAST!!

So glad we got the opportunity to enjoy a couple days of fun, friendship, and leadership together before the school year begins!

Some Highlights From the Week:

⭐️Alyssa Gagliardi and Raylen Yates were selected as leaders in their color groups - each group got to select 2 students to recognize for being leaders in the group this week

⭐️Alyssa Gagliardi served as a Camp Council member

⭐️Kaylee Grubbs was part of the color group that won Ag Olympics

⭐️We planned some awesome activities and events for the upcoming school year we are excited to share

Ag Day at Nelson County Fairgrounds was a big hit with Bessie the Dairy Cow! FFA members Alyssa Gagliardi and Thomas Sorrell helped educate kids about dairy cows, Sara Bishop helped in the Cattleman’s Trailer, and Raylen Yates, Thomas, & Sara helped make sausage biscuits before the big day!

Yesterday was a HUGE day for Bloomfield Middle School FFA!!!

We had 7 State Agriscience Fair winners out of the 12 categories offered at the state level for middle school to compete in!! We had students in 10 of the 12 categories! They all did a phenomenal job! We are so so proud!!

1st Place - Animal Systems - Division 2 - Zachary Hood & Jackson Mattingly

1st Place - Environmental & Natural Resource Systems - Division 2 - Evelyn Lux & Bradyn Talbert

1st Place - Food Products & Processing Systems - Division 1 - Jacelynn Parsley
