Today and every day, we celebrate an EXTRAORDINARY principal who goes above and beyond to make Liberty-Curtin Elementary such an AMAZING place to learn, grow, and work!

Mr. Umbenhouer, your dedication, leadership, compassion, and unwavering support for our students and staff never go unnoticed! Each and every day, you work tirelessly to ensure that our building is a place where everyone feels SAFE, SECURE, SUPPORTED, VALUED, AND LOVED!
Whether you're solving problems, lending a helping hand, encouraging our students, supporting our staff, or tackling the countless behind-the-scenes responsibilities that keep our school running smoothly, you ALWAYS find a way to make things happen! No challenge is ever too big, and your willingness to go above and beyond makes an incredible difference in the lives of our entire Wildcat family.

Happy National Custodian Appreciation Day!

Today and every day, we celebrate two AMAZING custodians who help make Liberty-Curtin Elementary such a wonderful place to learn and work!

Ashley and Jess, your hard work, dedication, and endless support never go unnoticed! You go above and beyond each and every day to keep our building spick-and-span, safe, clean, and running smoothly for our students and staff.

Whether you're cleaning up unexpected messes, fixing problems, lending a helping hand, or simply making sure everything is in proper working order, you are ALWAYS there when we need you! No task is ever too big or too small, and your willingness to jump in and help makes an incredible difference in our school.

You do so much more than keep our building clean. You help create a welcoming, comfortable, and caring environment where our Wildcats can learn, grow, and thrive.

Extra, extra read all about it! Mrs. Barrett's 3rd grade would like to introduce you to their personal news! If you would like to read about our students, these will be hung in the hall for LC to catch up on their latest news from our 3rd grade news reporters.

Our students have been having a blast in Physical Education while developing their striking skills! Through our lessons, students learned how to properly strike a ball with their hands, which led us to our next exciting activity Gaga Ball!

Students learned the rules and skills needed to play Gaga Ball while also developing important strategies to help them be successful. We also incorporated smash ball where students worked together as a team, communicating and using strategies to achieve success. These activities encouraged teamwork, cooperation, sportsmanship, and, of course, lots of movement and fun!

The fun even continued during recess, where we had a special visit from our principal, Mr. Umbenhouer, who learned how to play Gaga Ball for the very first time! It was great to see students sharing their skills and excitement with him.

We at LC are so thankful to our PTO for making these activities possible during both Physical Education and recess. Your support gives our students new opportunities to learn, play, work together, and create lasting memories!
