Today, March 21, is World Down Syndrome Day! 💙💛 This day is a reminder to advocate for inclusion, celebrate abilities, and recognize the incredible contributions of individuals with Down syndrome.

Why is World Down Syndrome Day important? All around the world, people with Down syndrome are treated badly…

They are denied a quality education.

They are denied good health care.

They are denied the chance to work and earn their own money.

They are not allowed to make decisions about their own lives.

Their voices are not heard!

So, on World Down Syndrome Day, we create a single global voice advocating for the rights, inclusion and well being of people with Down syndrome.

At The Arc of Warren County, we live our mission every day to ensure that every person we serve, including people with Down syndrome, have the best opportunity and access to live, learn, work and express themselves in an empowering and supportive community today and every day. 💙💛
