Meet Winona, who is 87 and quilting circles around the rest of us, full of energy, spry and alert and fantastically fun. Always sharing and teaching. Before class she imagined several original StarQuar designs of her own with her EQ software Electric Quilt . About those designs she said, “You’re going to hate me.” On the contrary, ‘Nona, I think you’re fabulous! Cabin Fever Quilters is lucky to have a treasure like you.

I’ve had a wonderful time in Tri-Cities, met lovely quilters, enjoyed the Columbia River, ate delicious food and slept like a rock. Now I’m headed north and west to Cabin Fever Quilters in the Port Townsend/Chimacum area of Washington.

The class photos were student work during “Color, Contrast & Cohesion” as we created simple patchwork to increase our understanding of value and contrast.
