What is a photo petition? An alternative petition format that involves taking a photo of yourself holding a written statement. Follow these easy steps to participate:
1- Think about how you would fill in the blank in this statement:

“Dear President Sands,
I think Virginia Tech should have a clean energy future because [your thoughts here]”

2- Write out the statement including your thoughts and t

ake a photo of yourself holding it.
3- Post the picture in this page

OR you can stop by one of our stations during the week:

Wondering why you should participate?
- Impacts on the environment also have major impacts on us as individuals and as a society.
- Environmental issues directly relate to social justice issues.
- We attend one of the leading research universities in the U.S. We should be leading the way in implementing sustainable initiatives on our campus.
- Virginia Tech, and Virginia as a whole, has seen a lack of progress in terms of renewable energy sources. We can change that!
- Other universities of similar size and character have successfully implemented sustainable initiatives. Why can’t we?
- Renewable energy is a stable, long term investment.
