Hip Hop Studies at Virginia Tech

🍾 Congrats are in order for a few members of the community.

First off, our program’s co-founder Dr. Freddy Paige (Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering) was very recently promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

Longtime leadership board member and regular collaborator Dr. Tyechia Thompson (Department of English) was also promoted to Associate Professor with tenure.

Finally, Dr. Spencer Todd Bennington (Department of English) - also a leadership board member and frequent collaborator - was promoted to Advanced Instructor.

Our community is more vibrant thanks to Doctors Paige, Thompson, and Bennington and these promotions are incredibly well deserved! Salute! 🍾
