We are hiring for a Yard Hand. This is an entry level position with potential for advancement.
The candidate must be team orientated, flexible in job responsibilities, and comfortable working in a steel yard. Should have good communication skills, organizational and cleanliness a plus.
Will be responsible for keeping track of inventory in yard. Organizing materials that are received, and putting away orders in proper fashion to minimize damage.
Must be able to compute basic math problems to include addition, subtraction, including feet and inches.
Job Type: Full Time
Pay: DOE $11.00 - $20.00 per hour
Schedule: - Monday-Friday - Overtime as required.
Experience Required: - Ability to work safely in and around heavy machinery. - Ability to follow written and oral instructions - Load and unload semitrucks properly. - Must have a basic understanding of workplace safety. - May include other general labor duties. - Driver’s License - 18 and older
Experience Preferred: - Forklift - Shear and/or saw cut material. - Staging equipment and materials.
Expected hours: 40 per week
