Hello friends! We’ve been MIA for a minute, but working on a skoolie while living it it full time is a whole different type of beast😅

I think we have about six different projects going at the same time😂 but we are THRILLED to finally have our mini split installed!! It’s a 12,000 BTU with a heat pump, so we should be set on temperature regulation now😁❤️

This post may not be as aesthetically pleasing as some of our other photos, but we are thrilled to FINALLY have our shore power hooked up!🥳

This means no more extension cords run all over the inside of the bus, AND we’ll be able to install our A/C unit soon, which we are in desperate need of🥵

We ordered both of these parts from Amazon. We had already run the wire, so it was as simple as hooking them up. The automatic transfer switch connects directly to the inverter, so we can choose to power our outlets via shore hookup or solar.

Also, for those of you who are newbies like us, did you know that there are multiple kinds of 30amp hookups? We didn’t🤪 so make sure the parts that you order all match or you’ll be having to do some returns😅

We’re so happy to have our skoolie kitty-ready! So far, he has done great and is loving taking in all the new sights and smells.

For those of you who have skoolie/nomadic cats, any tips on how to keep him comfortable and happy?🥰

Building update! It’s been a while😅

We took about a month off from our in order to prep for moving into the bus full time, but we’ve been back at it over the last week😁

We installed the door on our electrical closet, and we’re working on our bathroom space now. We’re honestly thrilled with how it’s turning out🥳🥳

✨Life Update✨

We are living in our skoolie full time!! We still have a lot of work to do, but we decided our bus was “livable” and took the plunge into bus life.

It’s been a big adjustment, but we’re happy to be back in the mountains of Western North Carolina. We’re figuring out a routine that works for us (it feels a lot like camping right now)🥰 we want to say a special thank you to Brett’s mom for letting us stay with her during the initial phase of the build❤️
