We loved celebrating Lag BaOmer at school today!
Our students had an amazing time enjoying s’mores, outdoor field fun, and activities like obstacle courses and bows and arrows—all in the spirit of this special day. From laughter on the field to the sweetness of traditions, it was a joyful reminder of how meaningful it is to celebrate our holidays together.
At NEMJDS we love bringing Jewish traditions to life and creating moments where our students can connect, celebrate, and grow as a community.

Today, our school community came together for a meaningful Yom HaShoah commemoration. Through a school-wide ceremony, we remembered the six million Jews who were lost, honored the bravery of those who stood up in the face of darkness, and reaffirmed our commitment to kindness, justice, and standing up for others.
We also reflected on the importance of holding pride in our Jewish identity—recognizing that by living proudly as Jews, we help carry forward the legacy, strength, and resilience of those who came before us.
Throughout the day, students continued to explore the significance of Yom HaShoah in their classrooms through age-appropriate lessons—learning not only about history, but about the power of our choices, the importance of empathy, and the responsibility we carry to be upstanders.
May we continue to honor their memory by the way we live, learn, and treat one another. 🕯️

We didn’t just hit our goal — we CRUSHED IT! And Mr. Cain made a promise: if we exceeded our fundraising goal, the students could silly string him.
Well... we did. And they did! 😂
No better way to celebrate an INCREDIBLE campaign! Over $360,000 raised! 400+ donors! A community that showed up in the biggest way! THANK YOU to every single person who made this possible. You invested in these kids, and look at the joy you created!

❄️ Snow day magic! ❄️
Yesterday brought an unexpected snowy surprise, and our students handled it beautifully. They embraced the excitement, enjoyed the moment, and then showed such maturity by settling back into learning when it was time.
So proud of their ability to find joy and refocus—what a wonderful reminder of their growth!
