For those who were part of the BCM in the late '80's (BSU at that time), our administrative assistant during those years, Sharon Bailiff, has passed away. Sharon was an incredible blessing to many students. Please be in prayer for her family during this time.

BCM at UAB is a ministry of Metro Bham BCM. College students in Birmingham worship every Monday night @7:15. The Metro BCM Building is located at 1216 15th St.

I’m continuing my Bible Study on the Book of Romans tonight. Here are some insights from chapter 6 by Leon Morris:
Baptism means to immerse. The word is the one used to describe people being drowned or of ships being sunk. We should not “think in terms of gentleness and inspiration, it means death, death to a whole way of life. Christians are people who have died, and their baptism emphasizes that death.” by Leon Morris from The Epistle of Romans, pp.246-247
Continuing my Bible Study in Romans. Paul says in Romans 1:14 “I am a debtor both to the Greeks and non-Greeks…” Here is what Minear says about this phrase: “Obligation to Him who died produces obligation to those for whom He died.”
