Thank you to our students, families, faculty, and staff for filling this year with curiosity, kindness, laughter, growth, and community. As we close the doors on another incredible year at Advent, we celebrate all that was accomplished and all the memories made along the way.

Today we celebrated the Advent Class of 2026 during a beautiful graduation chapel service surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and fellow students. 🎓

With the nave filled in support, we honored these 8th graders with awards, diplomas, and reflections on all they have accomplished during their time at Advent. The celebration continued with a joyful garden reception as our community gathered to congratulate and encourage them for the journey ahead.

We are so proud of these students and cannot wait to cheer them on in all the places they will go. 💜

Today, our 8th graders presented the culmination of their year in the Discover Birmingham Program through thoughtful science research capstone presentations and artistic expression.

Students shared research projects inspired by places and experiences explored throughout the city, presenting to parents, faculty, peers, and professionals connected to the organizations they interviewed along the way. The day also featured an art gallery showcasing original pieces created to reflect each student’s Discover Birmingham journey, accompanied by personal artist statements.

What began as weekly explorations across Birmingham became a year of inquiry, collaboration, perspective, and growth. We are incredibly proud of the hard work, curiosity, and creativity this class poured into every part of the process.

It’s the last week of school, and 1st grade is already getting a taste of summer fun! ☀️🎨

Our students made the most of our downtown location by heading to for playground time and bringing some extra color to campus by decorating the sidewalks with chalk masterpieces. What a joyful way to celebrate the final days of the school year!

Today we were excited to welcome back alumni and former students from the Advent Class of 2022 as we celebrated their high school graduations! 🎓

One of the greatest joys of Advent is seeing friendships and connections continue long after our students leave these halls. It was so special to have so many of these graduates back on campus together today. We are incredibly proud of all they have accomplished and can’t wait to see what’s ahead for them in college and beyond!

This week, families joined our JPK, Pre-K, and Kindergarten classes for Doughnuts with Grown-Ups! 🍩

Students delighted their parents with songs, shared their artwork and thoughtful parent interview answers, and then enjoyed tasty doughnuts and orange juice together. Such a sweet way to end the week! 💜

The curtain has closed on this year’s 8th grade play, Clueish, and what a performance it was!🕵️‍♀️

Friends on retreat (are they princesses?), a mysterious kidnapping, a peculiar hotel manager, dance parties, and plenty of hidden clues all came together in this whimsical “whodunnit,” bringing laughter, creativity, and heart to the stage.

The annual 8th grade play is a cherished Advent tradition, an opportunity for students to collaborate, problem-solve, create, and shine. More than just a performance, it’s a celebration of storytelling, teamwork, friendship, and the unique gifts each student brings to our community.

Today we celebrated the people who make Advent such a special place. From honoring student achievement and recognizing years of dedicated service to highlighting the care and commitment of our faculty and parents, Awards Day was a meaningful reminder of the strength of our community. Congratulations to all who were recognized today! 🐾

🎶 Big congratulations to the Advent Choral Ensemble! Last weekend, our students competed at the Southern Star Music Festival at Six Flags Over Georgia and brought home two incredible honors:

🏆 Gold Standard Trophy
🏆 Sweepstakes Winner’s Trophy for 1st Place in the Middle School Choral Division

The ensemble earned a Gold Star Rating from all three judges for their outstanding performance, a testament to their hard work, talent, and dedication. After the competition, students and chaperones celebrated with a fun day enjoying the rides and rollercoasters at Six Flags.

We are so proud of these students for representing Advent with excellence both on and off the stage!
