We want to thank Coach Brooks from The Knight School Birmingham for helping us start and coach our chess team at G.W. Carver High School RAMS. Today was our first meeting with him, and the students jumped right in with matches. We're excited about the future of this program at Carver. Any Carver student can join the team--we take brand new to advanced players.

Today, we had one of our Teentober events in the library. Students sipped on hot chocolate while making origami crafts during homeroom. Check out the calendar for more events or stop by the library.

If you need a brain break, color your own bookmarks will be available in the library starting next week. (Shout out to my library aides for helping me cut out the bookmarks)
