During the exchange, the patient drinks 8oz of apple juice, 2cups of water and voids 150ml of urine. Calculate and record the patient's intake in milliliters...

strategy: To answer this question, calculate the patient's intake from the information provided.
You can use the drop-down calculator provided on the computer to do the math. The button that displays this calculator is foud bottom right of the computer screen

PS: pay close attentiom to the unit of measure you need your final answer. In this situation, you are asked for your patient's intake in milliliters and not cups or ounces.

solving: to solve this question, you need to know that the intake includes what the client drinks along with the amount dialysate retained after the one-hour solution exchange.
First, convert cups to ounces; 1 cup = 8 oz
Then convert ounces to milliliters; 1 oz = 30ml.

Applying this, the patien's intake should be:
8 oz of apple juice, = 8×30= 240ml
2cups of water= 16 oz =480ml
100ml of dialysate is retained.
the answer would be 240 + 480 + 100 = 820ml
PS.: do not fill in any unit after answer, this would make your answer incorrect since the unit is already filled for you outside the blank (box)

How Much Preparation Is Enough?

Of course this depends on the candidate’s current English proficiency. Our advice is for candidates to focus on establishing their current level of English and then complete the recommended number of hours’ preparation to achieve the score they require. For a candidate with a previous score of C+ (IELTS 6.5) the recommended number of hours is typically 100. For a candidate with a previous score of C (IELTS 6) the recommended number of hours is 200.

However, there are other factors that determine test outcome, including individual test-taking and language- acquisition skills
