Making a Difference for Students Since 2022 💚

The Mountain View-Birch Tree Care To Learn Chapter continues to bridge the gap for local students by addressing immediate health, hunger, and hygiene needs so they can focus on learning and thriving.

✅ 6,665 needs met
✅ $30,792.63 spent directly on student needs
✅ $27,268.51 reimbursed through state funding
✅ $16,229.90 raised locally to support our mission

🌟 Since Our Chapter Was Established in July 2022
❤️ 24,975 student needs met
❤️ $109,761.79 invested in meeting student needs
❤️ $146,712.77 raised through the generosity of our community
❤️ $60,954.18 received through state funding reimbursements
Every meal provided, every hygiene item purchased, every pair of shoes, prescription, or emergency need met represents a student who was able to come to school ready to learn.

This award celebrates the dedicated professionals who help our schools run smoothly every day — including custodial and transportation staff, nutrition services teams, office personnel, paraprofessionals, tech support, and many others.

Why is our volunteer process so rigorous?

Because nothing is more important than student safety and protecting instructional time.

We know becoming an MVBT volunteer involves a thorough screening process—similar in many ways to becoming an employee. These procedures help ensure our students are safe and that every volunteer is prepared to support our schools in a positive way.

We are excited to announce that the Children’s Summer Feeding Initiative is coming to the Mountain View-Birch Tree R-III School District during summer school!

This program, led by Convoy of Hope, provides nutritious bags of groceries to children during the summer months and helps bridge the gap for families who rely on school meals during the school year.

Grocery Pick-Up Information:
• Pick-up days will be on Friday afternoons during summer school.
• Due to the quantity of food provided, groceries cannot be sent home on the bus.
• Parents are asked to transport their child home on Fridays along with the groceries.

First Pick-Up Dates:
• Middle School & High School Students — Friday, June 5
• Elementary Students — Friday, June 12

Pick-up locations will be:
Liberty High School and Liberty Middle School – for middle school and high school students
Mountain View Elementary – for Birch Tree Elementary and Mountain View Elementary students

Additional details about the program and pick-up procedures will be shared soon.

The Children’s Summer Feeding Initiative works through partnerships with schools, churches, rural organizations, and community groups to provide groceries to families across Missouri.
