📌Rolling out the new unit cheat sheets for each 7th grade math unit, just in time for state test review!

I do a 10-day bootcamp called Mathlympics, where each day for ten days we do one page of notes, and then a different game based on that unit: gimkit, jeopardy, relay race, grudge ball, quizizz, trashketball, etc. First place gets 10 points, 2nd place gets 9, and so on.

The kids are absolutely nuts and the buy in it huge.

Tell me seventh grade NS word problems aren’t a pain in the butt! Always one of my lowest tested standards, it seems like a major hurdle for 7th grade students is determining *which* operation to use, based on the word problem.

These word problems are all worded and based off the CCSS and worded in a way they’re likely to see on a test. They require students to think about what’s happening to the values: are they being combined? Are we looking for the difference? Are we grouping them, or breaking them into groups?

These boomcards are a *must* for your kids practicing putting all their skills and conceptual understanding together. Make sure they have scratch paper or expo markers because these will Lilly require some work!

Finished up NS.1 Boomcards with rational number addition and subtraction today! This resource gives you traditional you can print out and use with groups, centers or as a class activity, as well as the digital boom cards deck! Available in my TpT store: link in bio :)

Grab these, as well as all the other NS.1 boom sets. You can assign them as an early finisher, review for each objectives before a test, homework, or to keep the class engaged while you small group. You’re going to love them almost as much as kids do! The self-checking feature gives students immediate feedback and more agency in their learning.

New Test Review 🔔

I finished the Number Lines so your students can review before the state test! I’ve also got the Opposites Boomcards up on my TpT store!

These are great ways to have students work on self-paced review while you small group! Keeping the kids engaged is essential in giving you time to remediate!

Plus! The boomcards also come as task cards, so you can have students complete them as a scavenger hunt, group review, or table work with a partner if you prefer paper / pencil!

Plan is to create one for every standards in 7th grade- but let me tell you why I love them.

💓they are truly S E L F C H E C K I N G- the kids see if they got it correct or not immediately, which fostered real conversations because they have real time feedback
💓it uses gamification to engrave students in a way that no form of pencil/paper can anymore.
💓I can use it to get a formative assessment on students while also keeping them occupied while working with a small group.
💓my students BEGGED me to use book cards instead of khan academy for homework.
