BILLINGS CLIMATE COALITION NEEDS YOU!
Tomorrow we will be one of 140+ worthy organizations in a nine-county region asking for your financial support.
In the Yellowstone Valley Gives campaign April 30-May 1, you have an opportunity to join with others in our community who care about protecting our climate for future generations. We pledge to use your gifts to advance climate education and promote solutions. Can you support this movement?
We are already planning for next year, starting with Climate Week in September. Here are a few of the topics we are considering:
climate and agriculture in Montana
climate change impacts in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem
the geopolitics of energy
a climate film festival
the impacts of data centers on climate.
Climate affects everything, so we are unlikely to run out of ideas!
We are an all-volunteer organization, but there are costs to bringing great speakers and films to our community. Help us make this happen!
As a new organization in this annual campaign, we are eligible for a $500 prize if we get the most individual contributions before 6 pm on May 1. If what you can give seems like a small donation, please know that it can make a big difference!

HELP THE BILLINGS CLIMATE COALITION GROW OUR REACH!

Did you know that MOST Americans are concerned about climate change?

Did you know that FEW Americans talk about their climate concerns with others?

The Billings Climate Coalition is addressing this mismatch in our community, sharing information and facilitating helpful discussions about climate change impacts and solutions.

Maybe you attended the recent film, One in Five Hundred, which put Montanans on the big screen to share their experiences of the 2022 climate-related flooding in Yellowstone National Park gateway communities. Perhaps you heard youth litigants tell their stories of pursuing climate justice through the courts. You might have been intrigued by Rocky Mountain College professor Kayhan Ostovar's turtle research indicating the health of the Yellowstone River, Floating Island International's methane mitigation through restoring healthy reservoirs, or our city's Energy Conservation Commission's practical, money-saving proposals. ALL of these programs, and more, have elevated the climate discussion in our community this year. ALL of these, and more, have happened thanks to the Billings Climate Coalition.

We need your support to continue providing educational forums which inspire climate action. We are thrilled to be joining other worthwhile causes in the two-day campaign to benefit our community, Yellowstone Valley Gives.
