Most people don’t struggle because they don’t know what to do…

They struggle because they keep reacting the same way, even when they want to change.

That’s where ketamine assisted psychotherapy can be different.

In this video, I break down what ketamine therapy actually is in simple terms, and what it feels like inside one of my sessions.

It’s not just about the ketamine.

It’s about creating an experience where something new can actually be felt, not just understood.

If you’ve been hearing about ketamine therapy but aren’t really sure what it is, this will give you a clear starting point.

If it resonates, feel free to reach out.

“Federal prohibition of psychedelics in America is over.”

Let that sink in.

I’m not even gonna pretend to be composed right now…I watched this moment and broke down.

For years, there’s been a voice in the back of my mind telling me I was crazy for believing in this work.

Telling me I’d be judged.

Telling me I was walking too far outside the lines.

And today… something shifted.

Not because a president signed a piece of paper.

But because the world is starting to catch up to something many of us have already known:

There is healing here.

Real healing.

Deep healing.

The kind that doesn’t just manage symptoms, but actually changes lives.

We are watching the early stages of a massive shift in mental health care.

For decades, these tools were dismissed, stigmatized, and pushed to the margins.

And yet… behind the scenes, clinicians, researchers, and facilitators have been quietly witnessing something undeniable:

People are healing in ways traditional approaches often struggle to reach.

This doesn’t mean everything changes overnight.

But it does mean something important: The conversation has changed.

And once that happens… there’s no going back.

If you don’t understand why that matters yet, you will.

Something big just shifted.

This isn’t the finish line.

It’s the beginning of something.

And I feel honored to already be walking this path.

If you’ve ever felt called toward this work, or felt like there might be something more available to you…

You’re not crazy.

You never were.

Hypnotherapy vs. Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP)
And where the Phoenix Model fits in

A lot of people ask if hypnotherapy and ketamine-assisted therapy are basically the same thing.

At a glance… they can look similar.

Both work with the mind in a state where things feel quieter…
more open…
more receptive.

But the deeper you go, the more the differences start to matter.

Where They’re Similar

Both approaches create a space where:

• The analytical mind softens
• The nervous system becomes more receptive
• New perspectives can land more easily
• Patterns can begin to shift

In both cases, you’re not just thinking differently…
you’re more able to experience something differently.

Where They’re Different

Hypnotherapy guides you into a focused, relaxed state.

You’re still very much you…
just more open to suggestion and insight.

KAP works differently.

Instead of guiding the mind into a new state…
it changes the state itself.

During a ketamine experience:

• The sense of self can loosen
• Old patterns can lose their grip
• Thoughts and emotions can be observed without being overwhelming
• The brain becomes more flexible in real time

You’re not just hearing something new…

You’re often experiencing it as true.

The Missing Piece Most People Don’t Realize

Not all KAP is the same.

Most sessions involve:
• Music
• Eye mask
• Internal exploration

And insight happens… when it happens.

What I Do Is Different

I use KAP with the Phoenix Model.

That means during the experience,
clients are guided through structured contemplations designed to work directly with:

• Core patterns
• Identity-level beliefs
• Emotional processing in real time

Because in that state…
the mind isn’t just listening.

It’s receiving.

Why That Matters

Hypnotherapy works with the subconscious mind.

KAP + the Phoenix Model works at the level where
the sense of self becomes flexible…

And that’s where deeper, more lasting shifts can happen.

Potential Benefits

Hypnotherapy may help with:
• Habits
• Anxiety
• Performance
• Specific belief change

KAP (especially with the Phoenix Model) may help with:
• Depression that hasn’t responded to other approaches
• Trauma and emotional processing
• Deep identity-level patterns
• Creating lasting internal change

The Simple Way to Think About It

Hypnotherapy helps you
work with your mind.

KAP + the Phoenix Model helps you
experience your mind differently… while reshaping it.

There are moments when something in life just… isn’t working the way it used to.

And sometimes it’s not obvious at first.

It can show up as a kind of tension
that never fully turns off…

Or a pattern that keeps repeating even when it’s understood, but understanding it doesn’t seem to change it.

Most people try to think their way through that.

Try to solve it.

Try to fix it.

And sometimes that works.

But sometimes it feels like something deeper is holding it in place.

And there can be a quiet awareness of that.

Not loud.

Not urgent.

Just… there.

And when that awareness is there, something else tends to follow.

A kind of curiosity.

About what it might be like to experience that pattern differently…

Not by forcing it to change, but by meeting it in a different state.

That’s where The Phoenix Model of Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy exists.

Not as something to convince you.

Not as something you have to do.

But as something that can be explored when the timing feels right.

Some people come to it after trying everything else.

Some come to it because something in them recognizes it immediately.

And others simply feel that quiet pull and choose to follow it.

There’s no right way.

Only what feels true.

And sometimes…there’s a quiet sense of “this might be it”…

and it’s easy to wait…

until something in life brings that awareness forward again.

And if something in you is already considering it…

then there may already be a part of you that already knows it’s time.

If you’re curious, we can start with a conversation.

You can function like this for a long time…
longer than you probably should.

Most people do.

Until something in them finally says
“this isn’t working anymore.”

If this hits, watch the video.

You don’t look overwhelmed.
You handle things.

But there’s a difference between holding it together…
and actually feeling at ease.

Most people never question that part.

If this hits, the video will make sense.

04/04/2026

If you’ve tried and tried to change…but keep ending up in the same place…

It’s not because you’re broken.

It’s because what’s actually shaping your thoughts, reactions, and choices has been happening outside of your awareness.

Unconscious patterns.

Formed through fear, trauma, past experiences, and things you learned without even realizing it.

And no matter how much you understand your issues…those patterns will keep repeating until they’re seen clearly.

That’s where this work is different.

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is a therapeutic approach that combines ketamine — currently the only legal psychedelic medicine available in this context in Texas — with intentional, guided psychotherapy.

Ketamine temporarily softens the mind’s habitual defenses, allowing new perspectives, insights, and emotional truths to land without being immediately filtered through fear, shame, or self-protection.

For many people, this makes therapy less exhausting and more effective.

Especially for those who say:
“I’ve tried everything, and I’m tired.”
“I understand my issues, but nothing ever really changes.”
“Talk therapy helps me cope, but it doesn’t shift the pattern.”

How the Phoenix Model Is Different...

Ketamine can open the door — but what actually changes your life is what happens inside that experience.

Most approaches rely on insight alone. Understanding your past. Processing emotions. Making connections.

That matters… but for many people, it’s not enough.

Because the patterns shaping your life aren’t just logical. They’re lived. Rehearsed. Repeated.

Often quietly.

I specialize in recognizing those patterns — the ones shaping your beliefs, your reactions, your relationships — sometimes without you even realizing they’re there.

Some of these patterns come from trauma. Others were simply handed down — learned, absorbed, and reinforced over time.
And once they’re in place, they don’t just disappear because you understand them.

They have to be seen differently. Felt differently. Related to differently.

That’s where the Phoenix Model comes in...

The Letters to Myself contemplations I use during sessions are not generic scripts.

They are designed to walk you through the pattern itself — how it formed, how it shows up in your life, and how to begin recognizing it in real time.

Not from the outside… but from within the experience.

For example…

You might think your problem is anxiety. Or frustration. Or feeling disconnected in your relationships.

But underneath that, there’s often something more subtle.
A pattern shaped by fear.

Sometimes from past experiences… sometimes from things you learned without even realizing it.

And over time, that fear organizes how you show up in the world.
Like control.

Not obvious control… but the kind that shows up as:
• needing things to go a certain way
• feeling tension when they don’t
• trying to manage outcomes, conversations, or even how others feel

It can look like responsibility. Or leadership. Or “just caring.”

But underneath it… is the belief that things aren’t safe unless you’re the one holding it all together.

And that pattern doesn’t just affect your actions — it shapes how you think, how you relate, and how you experience the world.

In the work we do, you don’t just talk about that pattern.

You begin to notice it as it’s happening.

And as that awareness grows, something shifts.

Control starts to soften into authority — a grounded sense of self that doesn’t need to force or manage.

And from there… something even deeper emerges.

Valor.

The refusal to allow fear to make your decisions.

So instead of trying to fight the pattern… or “fix” yourself…
You begin to see it clearly.

And once something is truly seen — it starts to lose its grip.

Each session is shaped in real time based on where you are emotionally that day.

I’m not applying a protocol to you. I’m tracking what’s actually happening beneath the surface — and guiding you through it.

What also makes this work different is that I personally created and recorded the contemplations used in your sessions.

They come from a library I’ve developed over time through working with these patterns — not generic scripts or guided meditations pulled from elsewhere.

Each session, I intentionally select the contemplations based on what I’m seeing in you in that moment.

So while the structure exists, how it’s used is highly individualized.

This approach — what I call the Phoenix Model — is something I’ve developed through years of working with people in this space.

And it draws from established approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic and trauma-informed therapies, and experiential work.

But rather than following any single model, this work integrates what’s most effective in the moment — shaped around you and what’s actually happening beneath the surface.

It’s not a standardized protocol.

It’s a process that adapts to you.

Because real change doesn’t come from forcing something new. It comes from finally seeing what’s already been running the show.

If you’ve tried and tried to change but keep ending up in the same place… you’re not broken. You’ve just been treating symptoms instead of the core beliefs creating them.

Three Ways to Experience This Work...

You have three options for how you receive ketamine during our work together. All follow the same therapeutic structure — the difference is in the level of support, environment, and depth of the experience.

Option 1: Virtual (Oral Ketamine – Lower Support Format)

This option is designed for those who feel comfortable navigating part of the experience more independently.

What This Looks Like:
• We meet to talk, assess where you are, and set intention
• You take the oral dose with guidance
• Once the experience begins, you move through it on your own with the Letters to Myself contemplations
• Afterward, you reconnect with me for integration

This format offers more autonomy and flexibility, while still providing therapeutic guidance where it matters most.

Cost:
• $350 per session (Medication prescribed through Journey Clinical)

Option 2: In-Office (Oral Ketamine – Big Sandy, TX)

This option provides a more contained, supported environment while still using oral ketamine.

Sessions take place in my office in Big Sandy, TX, where I guide you through the entire experience in person.

What This Adds:
• A dedicated, safe therapeutic space
• In-person support throughout the entire session
• No need to manage the experience on your own

The session structure is the same:
• We talk and assess where you are emotionally
• Set intention
• You take the oral dose
• You lie down with an eye mask and headphones
• The Letters to Myself contemplations guide the experience
• We integrate afterward

Cost:
• $500 per session(Medication is still prescribed through Journey Clinical)

Option 3: In-Clinic IM Sessions (The Infusionist – Tyler, TX)

For those wanting a deeper, more immersive experience, I also offer intramuscular (IM) ketamine sessions in partnership with The Infusionist in Tyler, TX (currently available on Mondays).

What Makes This Different:
• Faster onset (no oral dosing process)
• More precise dosing
• Typically a deeper, more immersive experience
• More time spent in the therapeutic process itself

Process:
• We handle all scheduling and coordination — you only work directly with me
• On arrival, you briefly meet with the clinic’s prescriber for safety clearance
• Then you move into a private therapy room with me
From there:
• We talk and assess where you are emotionally
• Set intention for the session
• You receive the IM injection (arm, thigh, or glute)
• You lie down with an eye mask and headphones
• The Letters to Myself contemplations guide you through the entire experience

I remain with you the entire time.

As you come out of the experience, we sit together and integrate what came up — translating insight into real change.

Cost:
• $600 per session (Includes my time, the medicine, and the clinic space)

Safety, Control, and Trust...

It’s completely normal to feel nervous about this process.

Fear of losing control, opening something overwhelming, or being deeply vulnerable often shows up at first — and that’s not a problem to eliminate.

It’s information.

Sometimes your body needs a session or two to fully recognize that you are safe and supported.

When resistance softens — even slightly — you’ll notice it.
That softening is not collapse. It’s relief.

And it’s where real healing begins.

What Changes Over Time...

People who complete a series of sessions often notice that they:
• Recognize triggers before reacting
• Respond with choice instead of compulsion
• Live more authentically
• Heal their side of relationships
• Feel grounded in their own authority

In other words — they become increasingly aware and grounded.

Not because nothing affects them — but because their power is no longer outsourced to old patterns.

Is This Work for You?

This work is especially suited for people who:
• Have tried traditional therapy and feel stuck
• Are emotionally exhausted but still open
• Want depth without being re-traumatized
• Are ready to relate to themselves differently

It may not be a fit if you’re looking for a quick fix or an experience without integration.

Next Step...

If this resonates, the next step is to schedule an intake session.
We’ll talk openly about your history, your goals, and which format feels like the best fit for you.

You don’t have to carry everything alone anymore.

Message me here or call/text 903-920-4661 to get started.

If you are a Military Veteran, reach out to discuss available financial options related to this type of therapy with me.

What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?

How My Approach Is Different

While ketamine opens the door, the way the experience is held is what determines whether something lasting happens.

My work integrates a proprietary method called Letters to Myself —contemplations I’ve written and recorded specifically to reach the subconscious without triggering the ego’s need to defend or shut down.

These are not affirmations or guided visualizations.

They are relational, resonant reflections that speak to the places where people feel stuck, trapped, or disconnected from themselves.

Clients often report that the words feel alive — understood before they are intellectually grasped.

Each session is curated in real time, based on where you are that day.
While I draw from established therapeutic frameworks such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), narrative therapy, and experiential approaches, the synthesis and application of this work is unique to my practice.

I don’t follow a rigid script.
I follow you.

What the Process Looks Like

1. Intake Session

We begin with an intake session to understand your history, goals, and whether KAP is an appropriate fit. I’ll explain the process in detail and answer any questions.

If we move forward, I make a referral to Journey Clinical, the medical partner I work with.

2. Medical Clearance (Journey Clinical)
Journey Clinical conducts a virtual medical consultation and, if approved:

• You pay $336 for the initial consult

• Ketamine (two doses) is mailed directly to your home

3. Ketamine Sessions with Me
Each ketamine session is two hours long and costs $500 per session.

• We begin by setting intention and selecting the contemplations for that session

• You dose under guidance, lie down with an eye mask and headphones, and enter the experience (approximately 40–50 minutes)

• I remain with you the entire time

• Afterward, we discuss what arose and how to integrate it into your life

After two sessions, you’ll follow up with Journey Clinical:

• $295 for a virtual follow-up

• Approval for six additional doses

Safety, Control, and Trust

It’s completely normal to feel nervous about this process.

Fear of losing control, opening something overwhelming, or being deeply vulnerable often shows up at first — and that’s not a problem to eliminate. It’s information.

Sometimes your body needs a session or two to fully recognize that you are safe and supported. When resistance softens, even slightly, you’ll notice it.

People who complete a series of sessions often notice that they:

• Recognize triggers before reacting

• Respond with choice instead of compulsion

• Live more authentically

• Heal their side of relationships

• Feel grounded in their own authority

In other words — they become increasingly unf**kwithable, in the healthiest sense of the word.

Not because nothing affects them — but because their power is no longer outsourced to old patterns.

Is This Work for You?

This work is especially suited for people who:

• Have tried traditional therapy and feel stuck

• Are emotionally exhausted but still open

• Want depth without being retraumatized

• Are ready to relate to themselves differently

It may not be a fit if you’re looking for a quick fix or an experience without integration.

If this resonates, the next step is to schedule an intake session.

We’ll talk openly about your history, your goals, and whether ketamine-assisted psychotherapy with Letters to Myself is the right path forward for you.

You don’t have to carry everything alone anymore.

Our first podcast episode for, “Thanks Mom!” Check it out and let me know what you think!!

Kevin and I have an incredible time any time we’re together! In this episode we discuss our individual upbringing in Christianity and how we’ve grown to see it now. I don’t think my momma, Tammy, had any idea she’d be seeing herself as a cartoon superhero coming across her feed, but here it is!

Thanks Mom, is a podcast dedicated to acknowledging the love and care our mothers put into raising us, while also acknowledging the unique beauty that all of our experiences, whether we perceived them as “Good” or “Bad” gave to the current versions of ourselves.

Thanks Mom! I love you! ❤️‍🔥
