Mr. Phil believes in connecting both mind and body. He integrates fitness, mindfulness, parkour concepts, and other modalities in his holistic approach to singing. In fact, not only is he a vocal coach, he is also a certified personal trainer, parkour coach, life coach, and reiki master, making him the perfect cheerleader to singers of all ages and backgrounds. 📣

I couldn't agree more!!

To paraphrase our friend , “You’re not paying for my time. You’re paying for my brain. Time is the container my brain comes in.”
When we visit a hair stylist or an attorney or a car mechanic or a physical therapist, we’re not watching the clock. We just want to look good, know that the will is in order, get the oil changed, and correct our shoulder pain.
Some of these goals can be accomplished in one visit. Some will require many. But in no scenario is the duration of the appointment the goal. The desired outcome—functioning car, minimized pain, etc—is the goal. I’m not paying for 20 minutes with my physical therapist. I’m paying for the fact that she understands my problem and can help me solve it. Whether that happens in 20 minutes or 90 minutes, the time is not the point. It’s what I learn *during* the time.
The same is true for music lessons. We operate in increments of time, but we are not typically a time-based business. We are a goal-based business that uses time as a tool.
The point isn’t the time. The point is what happens *during* the time.
