Westbrook Neighborhood

See you for a stroll tonight! Check the map for good stops on Westway, Allan, and Malden Drive!

Now in its 6th year, the Neighborhood Luminaria has reached the status of “beloved neighborhood tradition.” This year, it will take place on December 3, starting at sunset. (In case of inclement weather, we’ll push to December 10.)

During this secular community event, the neighborhood is illuminated with the warm glow of candles, placed in weighted paper bags. People line their curbs and front walkways. Some folks go all out and line everything! Last year there were wandering carolers, a bonfire over on Overbrook (and some adult beverages, if I’m not mistaken), and at least one guy in a Santa suit.

Starting November 18, .rice.realtor will have luminary bags and battery-powered tea lights for pick-up.
