BPS warmly welcomes Dr. Christie Dixon as Assistant Principal of Bethany High School!

As a fourth-generation educator, serving students is more than a career for Dr. Dixon. It's a family tradition. Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher, media teacher, assistant principal, and interim principal, working with students from Pre-K through high school. She also holds a Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University and is the proud mom of six children.

"I'm grateful for this opportunity and look forward to serving an incredible school community alongside dedicated staff, amazing students, and supportive families. I can't wait to build relationships, support student success, and be part of the Broncho family."

Bethany Public Schools is proud to announce that Mrs. Sydney Silva has been named the next principal of Earl Harris Elementary.

Mrs. Silva brings extensive experience as an elementary and middle school teacher, as well as an elementary and high school assistant principal. Since joining Bethany last year as our high school assistant principal, she has demonstrated exceptional servant leadership, relationship-building, organizational skills, and a love for our Bethany community.

“As I begin this new chapter as principal at Earl Harris Elementary, I do so with equal parts gratitude and excitement. I am incredibly grateful for my time at Bethany High School, the relationships I built there, and the work we accomplished together. I am also excited to return to my elementary roots and serve our youngest Bronchos. As a member of the Bethany community and as a parent with children at Earl Harris Elementary, I know firsthand what makes this community so special. From early mornings and busy lunch rushes to endless dishes and deep cleaning, this crew showed up every single day with hard work, teamwork, and a whole lot of heart. 🍎🍽️

Now the kitchen is cleaned, the equipment is shut down, and we are officially heading into summer break ☀️

We’re tired, proud, and already looking forward to doing it all again next year….

We are so thankful for our students, families, teachers, and staff who made this year so special. From first-day jitters to end-of-year memories, it has been a year full of growth, laughter, learning, and love.

Now it’s time to rest, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved summer break! ☀️📚🍎
