Did you know this!?
The thiophenes marigolds release don't just repel pests — they rewrite the chemical language of your soil. These sulfur compounds bind to nematode receptors, essentially jamming their ability to locate host roots. Above ground, the same molecules create an aromatic confusion field that disrupts aphid pheromone communication and masks the scent signatures hornworms use to find their target plants. The marigold becomes a living scrambler, broadcasting interference on multiple biological frequencies at once. Plant them in a grid pattern around your tomato bed, spacing them every three feet to create overlapping protection zones. The chemical shield builds strength over weeks as root systems establish and compound production peaks. What appears to be simple companion planting is actually precision biological warfare, fought with molecules instead of sprays. [ES3DU]

🌱 Community mutual aid garden starting up
We’re turning a side yard into a neighborhood food source. Volunteers help maintain the garden, and anyone can receive food on harvest days.
Kickoff day is the most important one. 💥
This is when we prep the space, build beds, and set the foundation for the entire season.
🗓 Kickoff Workday: April 4
Come for any portion of the day. Even an hour helps.
Looking for:
🍅 1 hr/week volunteers
🍅 Garden helpers
🍅 Folks willing to coordinate or plan

I think you have soemthing to do with this…
We’ve already grown exponentially this season — it’s only March!
As we’re celebrating the wins, we are also bringing on a new teammate —
Welcome Sarah!
You may meet her during your install, or speak on the phone, as Sarah will be observing the process, and taking the reins for critical behind the scenes coordination.
As a small business, having a solid team is everything.
Thank you for supporting Spoke Pockette, and thank you Sarah for joining the cause 🌻

I’ve worked behind the scenes on editorial shoots. Styled brides. Built an Airbnb people didn’t want to leave.
I understand mood. Light. Texture. Sound. Scent. How a space feels when you step into it.
But somewhere along the way, the event world got loud.
Gardens felt different. Quieter. Deeper. More honest.
In hair, in fashion, in music — you’re always shaping something ephemeral. In the garden, you’re shaping a living system.
That’s what drew me in.
At Spoke Pockette, we create wildly beautiful gardens rooted in reality — and restore 1 acre of land per year along the way.
If you’ve ever wanted your yard to feel like sanctuary, that’s the work.

A year ago, I was featured on Local NPR affiliate, The Fulcrum, after building a pocket forest in my Berwyn yard.
It started with a problem — heavy rains flooding the alley between our homes. At one point, water nearly reached my neighbor’s window.
So I planted differently.
Today, there are about 25 native trees and shrubs growing in that space. And when it pours? No flooding.
That project shaped Spoke Pockette.
I don’t just plant for beauty. I plant for function. For water. For habitat. For families. For the long term.
This is year 3 of the business — but really 10 years of curiosity, study, and hands-on learning brought me here.
Grateful for the conversation, and even more grateful to keep doing the work.
🌱 Goal: restore 1 acre per year.

Featured on The Fulcrum.
We talked about ecological garden design, restoring land, and building spaces that feel like sanctuary.

Technology is a tool. The thinking is human.
I use modern tools to help you see what we’re building 🌱
Here’s how it works:
1. I walk your space.
2. I study your soil, light, drainage, and how you live in it.
3. I sketch the layout and choose plants that actually work.
4. Then I put my ideas into AI to create a visual rendering.
The AI does not design your garden. I do.
AI helps us see it.
It’s like a fast digital sketch so you can imagine the future space clearly.
AI isn’t perfect — it can’t get the layout exactly how I want it — but it gets us close enough to: understand the feeling • adjust details • and build a clear estimate.
From there, we refine and bring in the right people to install it beautifully.
🌱 One acre per year (What if 3?!)
