Beahrs Environmental Leadership Program (ELP), UC Berkeley

On Monday, October 6 from 11:30 am - 12:20 pm (PDT), join us for our second Beahrs ELP 25th Anniversary Webinar: An Interactive Discussion with Suresh Yadav. In this exclusive discussion, Suresh will share the Global South's perspective on climate diplomacy, shed light on the challenges of negotiating global climate treaties, and discuss innovations to mitigate climate change.

Mr. Yadav is currently the Director of the Directorate of Climate Change, Ocean, and Energy and Natural Resources at The Commonwealth of Nations (a voluntary association of 56 independent and equal countries) and has previously served as a member of the Executive Board of the World Bank and as a Director in the Ministry of Finance for India, among other senior governmental positions.

Join a global community of environmental leaders and develop your leadership skills through a combination of online and in-person sessions. In-person sessions are held on the UC Berkeley campus.

We encourage international applicants to submit their applications as soon as possible to give extra time to secure a visa and obtain external funding.

2026 Program Dates:

Online (Zoom) Sessions: June 30 & July 1, 2026 (if needed, July 2 as well)
In-person Sessions: July 16 – July 31, 2026

Scholarship Review Deadlines:

Round 1: Submit Complete Application by November 7, 2025
Round 2: Submit Complete Application by January 16, 2026

A complete application received before the scholarship review deadlines will receive priority review for scholarship eligibility. Program applications will still be accepted after the deadlines, but scholarships are not guaranteed due to limited funding.
