We are based out of UC Berkeley and we seek to provide a safe environment for people to explore the world of dance through our performances and workshops.

Sorayya is a dance troupe affiliated with UC Berkeley and performs traditional and contemporary dances found throughout the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa.

Come see former member of Sorayya, Mastoureh JS in this amazing performance!

We’d like to invite you all to Nuance on Saturday November 16 at 8:00 pm. The piece is choreographed by Aisan Hoss​ and set to music by Basma Edrees. Aisan incorporates western contemporary dance with classical Iranian and Egyptian influences. The piece portrays Aisan’s and Basma’s experience with immigration, exploring themes of identity, leaving home, and facing a new world.
