As the 50th Anniversary of the Third World Student Strike at Berkeley approaches, we want to not only commemorate that event of January - March 1969, but more importantly we also want to look at the status of UC Berkeley Ethnic Studies today. hen participating in several ways. One: tell your own story about your participation in the strike. In that way we will not only have a broader perspective of the strike, but also these stories can be shared with the Ethnic Studies Library, which is documenting stories for the 50th Anniversary. Three: sign up to make presentations to Ethnic Studies graduate and undergraduate students, campus organizations, as well as Ethnic Studies faculty regarding the strike and what we hoped to accomplish. Four: there are still continuing struggles regarding Ethnic Studies today and perhaps you would like to get more involved in that area. Five: you might want to join with others in exploring ways to support Ethnic Studies, such as what might be our role at the 50th Anniversary or how we might improve our page and outreach.
