Highlights from Spring Spirit Week!

Spring came early yesterday at the Early College Highschool!

Last week, Meg Bernard of the Genesee Community College Wellness Center, taught students about the benefits of meditation and yoga!

This festive season, add a touch of student-grown charm to your home with beautiful poinsettias from the WNY Tech Academy! 🌺🎄 Not only will you be decorating your space with gorgeous flowers, but you'll also be supporting the academic journey of budding scholars.

🌿 Our pesticide-free greenhouse, located in Byron-Bergen, has nurtured these vibrant poinsettias, ensuring they're as environmentally friendly as they are beautiful.

Last week, Mr. Stanton and Mr. Macaluso organized the first annual Tech Academy Games, tied to the Global 9 Ancient Greece Unit. The event featured four teams engaging in games inspired by the Ancient Olympics. A special shout-out to Mrs. Mann and Team Thebes for emerging victorious in this spirited competition!

Today, the 9th and 10th graders had an exciting trip to Genesee Community College, where they toured the college, learned about available programs, and had professional photos taken!

Guest speaker, Tom Sylvester of the Lifestyle Builders, delivered an amazing presentation to the Tech Academy today focusing on entrepreneurship. He spoke about his experience in real estate, small business ownership, authoring a book, and his business coaching/consulting career. Thanks so much, Tom, for coming to the academy today!

Vegetative propagation with Dr. Spacher! Students in Living Environment cut Geraniums to grow in the greenhouse over winter!

The Tech Academy will host an open house on Thursday, October 19th, at Byron-Bergen from 5-7 pm. This is open to current AND prospective students and parents!

Students in Mr. Stanton's Global 9 class participated in a Hunter-Gatherer Simulation as part of their Prehistory Unit!
